WOO-HOO!

MOM WALKED!!!

"Staggered," she pointed out, "and with a walker," but DOWN THE HALL!

It's four days short of three months since she met that semi head-on.

I am so excited I can't see straight. Danced down the hall of the convent.  Shared the news. Emailed my sisters.  Called one and left a message. Texted the sister who is working. Going to email the SSM sisters who are not here. JOY.  I can't even express it.

Yes, she has a long way to go. She still can't get out of bed into a wheelchair unassisted, but once put on her feet, she can go!  And this is the first day she's been allowed to try, too.  What perseverance. What strength.  God willing, she will be home by All Saints Day.

  4. Glory be to God on High!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!! This is SUCH good news (especially since getting up and walking will help keep her from developing pneumonia and other dangers of being bed-ridden) God is great! And your Mom is SO blessed! She is a true testament to God's Glory and Power! Miracles!!! Hallelujah!!!!
